About Kari & Co.

Kari Harendorf is a C-IAYT Yoga Therapist and an E_RYT 500 Yoga Educator, Reiki Master, and Holistic Heath Facilitator. She merges spiritual practice with asana and health science to help people feel and be their best.

A teacher of teachers, Kari was on faculty for the 200-Hour and 1000-Hour Teacher Trainings at The Kripalu Schools of Yoga and Ayurveda. She is also a Master Trainer of Urban Zen’s Integrative Therapy Program, a groundbreaking program developed by Donna Karan, Colleen Saidman and Rodney Yee, bringing yogic practices to health-care professionals, patients and their caregivers in hospital settings and private practice.

Kari playfully focuses her teaching on helping students and teachers achieve precise anatomical alignment, to awaken the body’s innate intelligence, and foster a sense of awareness and healing through yoga, nutrition, and healthy living. Pre-COVID, she lead weekly asana classes and anatomy workshops at Yoga Great Barrington and Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Since the pandemic, Kari started her own virtual studio, bringing her two decades worth of students from around the world into her home studio via Zoom 5 days/week.You can find her on Uscreen, Vimeo, and YouTube. Kari holds multiple yoga certifications and spent over a decade leading trainings and workshops with and for Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman. For the past several years, Kari has devoted herself teaching the Katonah Yoga (R) Method, a haha yoga practice founded over 40 years ago by Nevine Michaan. Kari is thrilled to have found a practice that proofs all her training in various modalities and schools, merging together her belief that there is no separation from the mind and the body. She loves and teaches about the body’s inherent perfect design and it’s innate ability and desire to be healthy and harmonious. In 2004, Kari founded the East Yoga Center studio in New York’s East Village, where she famously merged her passion for yoga and dogs with a monthly “Doga” class. This led to features in publications including The New York Times, Yoga Journal, The Wall St. Journal, appearances on The Martha Stewart Show, ABC News, Fox & Friends, and her own TV Show, K9 Karma, on Discovery’s Animal Planet.

Today, Kari lives in the Berkshire mountains, on her dream farm, complete with partner, Eric, her three children, and 28 rescue animals.
