At the height of summer, the qualities of pitta dosha—heat, intensity, and sharp focus—naturally rise. In balance, pitta supports clarity and vitality; when elevated, it can feel inflamed and agitated. This series offers a deliberate counterpoint: a space to soften intensity, regulate heat, and return to a more sustainable rhythm.
Each class pairs a complete, well-sequenced yoga practice with one of the Brahma Viharas—the Four Immeasurables—integrating physical practice with contemplative depth in a grounded, practical way.
What You’ll Experience
Cooling, Pitta-Pacifying Practice
Satisfyingly slow and stretchy poses emphasize length, ease, and release—helping to dissipate heat and settle the mind while maintaining steady engagement.
Refined, Purposeful Sequencing
Thoughtfully structured classes support strength, mobility, and spaciousness without excess strain.
Philosophy You Can Live
Each session is anchored in a Brahma Vihara:
Metta (Loving-Kindness): establishing steady, non-transactional goodwill
Karuna (Compassion): responding to difficulty with discernment and care
Mudita (Sympathetic Joy): cultivating genuine appreciation for others’ well-being
Upekkha (Equanimity): developing even-minded steadiness without reactivity
Integration That Endures
Close each class with concise practices so these qualities extend into your daily life.
A Considered Approach for Established Practitioners
Designed for students with an established practice, this series offers a more nuanced approach to summer yoga—supporting regulation over intensity, clarity over urgency, and a steady, resilient way of moving through the season.
